JERUSALEM — (JTA) — The
Israel Parliament gave final ap-
proval tt a reorganization of
the national educational system
which would make possible re-
leigious education for children
in immigrant camps.
The reorganization program
provides:
The school department of the
Ministry of Education is to op-
erate all schools in the immi-
grant camps. In the Yemenite
camps the schools are to be su-
pervised by a committee com-
posed of four Orthodox and four
non-Orthodox persons recog-
nized by the Ministry of Educa-
tion. The committee will deter-
mine the curriculum to be used
in the schools and will choose
the teaching staff.
In non-Yemenite camps sep-
arate schools will be established
for religious and non-religious
children. The Schools Depart-
ment of the Ministry of Educa-
tion will conduct the registra-
tion of the pupils.
Personnel for religious schools
in mixed camps will be chosen
by the School Department from
recommendations made by a
committee of supervisors: The
schools will be operated directly
by the School Department.

Rescind Delay in
Tax Reparations

MUNICH, (JTA) — Following
strong protests by the Jewish
communities of Germany the
provincial government of Wuert-
temberg-Baden rescinded an or-
der delaying the repayment of
discriminatory emigation 4 and
property taxes levied against
Jews by the Nazi regime.
The provincial finance de-
partment previously announced
that it would not repay an emi-
gration tax imposed on Jews
permitted to flee the country by
the Nazis until the Federal Gov-
ernment put into effect the
"Equalization of Burden Bill."
Nor would it make good . a prop-
erty tak levied by Hermann
Goering in 1938 following the
assassination of a Nazi diplo-
mat in Paris by Hershe Grynsz-
pan, a Jewish youth, provincial
authorities said.
The "Equalization of Burden
Bill" is a measure which would
tax all persons in Germany, in-
cluding thos 3
. entitled to resti-
tution payments, who had not
suffered major losses in the war
or as a result of the postwar
currency conversion. The taxes
would be used to assist persons
who suffered heavy losses under
these circumstances.
Dr. Philip Auerbach, Bavarian
Commissioner for Persecutees,
criticized the West German
Parliament in Bonn for its fail-
ure to adopt a restitution meas-
ure for all of West Germany.

Sharrett Calls on Arabs for
Direct Peace Talks.
NEW Y O R K— (JTA) —"There
will be no further war if the

Arab world does not will it,"
Moshe Sharett, Foreign Minister
of Israel, declared in an inter-
view with Cyrus L. Sulzberger,
chief European correspondent of
the New York Times.
Sharett warned of the "dan-
ger of a vicious circle" of rear-
mament which has been set off
by Egypt and other Arab na-
tions.
The Times also reports from
Cairo that "certain member
states of the Arab League are
considering a proposal to expel
Jordan because of her alleged
contacts with Israel during and
after the Palestine war." The
Times dispatch 'quotes as its
source the party organ of the
Wafd, which currently controls
the Egyptian government.
