Northwest Synagogue Sept. 18.

hooped petticoat. A seed-pearl
capped headpiece held her veil.

the bride, Rosaline Davis and
Virginia Rosenthal, bridesmaids;
Roslyn Simons was ,maid of
honor; Mrs. Irving Stoffed, ma-

Meyer Feldman, Ernest Fridson,

To Hear Rabinovitz

Sam Rabinovitz, director of
the Detroit Israel Histadrut
Campaign who recently return-
ed from Israel, will address the
Women's Auxiliary of the Mai-
monides Medical . Society at- a
luncheon meeting Oct. 25 at the
Tuller Hotel.
This meeting will be the kick-
off for souvenir book solicita-
tions. Oct. 26 to Nov. 27. Saks-
Fifth Avenue will again pre-
sent a fashion show for the
annual fund-raising event.

David I. Berris Directs Dedication
Of Young Israel Center October 30

_ Climaxing 10 months of con-
struction, Young Israel will ded-
icate its new youth center, com-
pleted this week, at 1:30 p. m.
Sunday, Oct. 30.
David I. Berris, chairman of
the dedication, who has been
active in Young Israel since its
inception in Detroit 27 years
ago, announces that nationally
known Jewish leaders partici-
pate in this historic event.
Tuesday, Nov. 8 will witness
the opening of the second year
of the Institute for Jewish
Studies, which offers courses in
Hebrew, Eretz, philosophy, cur-
rent events, Talmud, customs
and ceremonies. Registration is
open to adults 18 and over. Ses-
sions will be held Tuesday and
Wednesday evenings.
On Nov. 24 to 27, Young Israel
of Detroit will climax its dedica-

JNWA, to Celebrate
Fifteenth Jubilee

On Sunday, Nov. 13, Arlazaroff
Branch, JNWA, will celebrate its
15th jubilee with a banquet at
Lachar's.
Maurice Samuel, famous auth-
or and lecturer, and Ph. Gingold,
national cultural director of
JNWA, will be guest speakers.
Hilka Rabinowitz, Israeli mu-
sician, will present original He-
brew music.
The branch will publish a
book, "Fifteen Years of Achieve-
ment of. the Arlazaroff Branch
in Detroit." Among the contrib-
utors are: Isaac Hamlin, na-
tional secretary of Israel Hista-
drut campaign; Meyer Brown
and Louis Siegal, president and
secretary of the JNWA.
Joseph Sprinzak, president of
the Israeli Parliament, and
P i n c h a s Lubianinker, general
secretary of the Histadrut Haov-
dim, sent their . personal greet-
ings.
All members of the branch are

Brady PTA Presents
Party at Oriole Theater

The Brady School Parent-
Teacher Association will present
a theater party at 1:30 p.m. Fri-
day, Oct. 28, at the Oriole The-
ater, Linwood and Philadelphia.
The program will consist of
"Three Darling Daughters" in
technicolor and four cartoons.
Tickets can be obtained at the
