Al Jolson Sees Israel
As Site of Future Film

Pesia Antramentowicz is a 16-
year-old orphan now living in
an IRO, Children's Center in
Germany. Pesia's only living rel-
ative is an aunt whose married
name she does not remember,
but who is a resident of Detroit.
Anyone who recognizes Pesia's
aunt from the few facts the
young girl can supply is urged
to get in touch with Teri Fein,
Jewish Social Service Bureau,
TR. 2-4080.
Pesia was born in SiedIce,
Poland. Her parents' names were
Nachim and Riwka Antramen-
towicz, and her mother's maiden
name was Polano. There were
also three older brothers .and
two older sisters. Her father was
a tailor.

HOLLYWOOD—Al Jolson, now
in New York on a personal ap-
pearance tour for the world pre-
miere of his new picture "Jolson
Sings Again" in New York City,
told me before he left Hollywood
that he has an idea for a sec-
ond sequel to the original "Jol-
son Story." Its locale would be
in Israel.
Having had his rather rich life
immortalized in celluloid iri the
two films, Jolson figures that his
activities in the next two or
three years on behalf of the
youngest member of the United
Nations, coupled with his still
fertile show business anthology,
would be a sturdy story basis
for a possible third picture for
Columbia studio produCtion.
