"T here are still openings
available for the last week of
CAMP CHELSEA. One healthful
week at camp at the end of the
summer will do much to relax
mother and child and prepare
them for the fall school season,"
says Mort Goodman, director of
the in s' and children's
camp sponsored by the Jewish
Center at Grass Lake, Mich. "A
special feature of this last week
is that girls between the ages
of eight and 12 may attend
without being accompanied by
their mothers. Children between
three and seven must be ac-
corn panied."
Registration will be accepted
through Friday, Aug. 19, by Mrs.
Stocker, camp registrar, at TR.
5-8400.

NEW YORK — All but three
Jews of the Jewish community
in French Somaliland have emi-
grated to Israel, and there are
no Jews left in Italian and Bri-
tish Somaliland, according to in-
formation received by the organ-
ization department of the World
Jewish Congress.
A letter written by one of the
three Jews remaining in French
Somaliland to Dr. I. Schwarz-
bart, director of WJC Organiza-
Department, reveals that the
three have styled in Djibouti in
order to liquidate the affairs of
their coreligionists after all
other members of the com-
munity had left for Israel. The
letter appealed for funds they
need to pay taxes, duties and
other debts, to enable them to
join their families in Israel.

NORTHWEST DAY CAMP, the
Schulze School summer affiliate
of the Jewish Center, closed its
first season Aug. 12, instead of
Aug. 26, due to lack of sufficient
registered campers for the last
period.. Children who were
registered for the fourth- session
have been transferred to Camp
Habonim.
To insure a sustaining mem-
bership next season through
more widespread knowledge of
the camp, a group of mothers
have volunteered to assist as a
planning committee during the
forthcoming winter. months. The
committee includes Mesdames
Norman Bazell, Morris Cole, Paul
Old Faithful, Yellowstone Na- Fenton, Samuel Forman, Louis
tional Park's famous geyser,
