To Summer Camps

for the group's annual donor,

More than 12,000 Jewish boys
and girls in eight countries of
Europe and North Africa are
spending their vacations in spe-
cial summer camp colonies or-
ganized by the Joint Distribu-
tion Committee.
JDC has appropriated $100,000
for its summer camp program in
behalf of Jewish children in Bel-
gium, Greece, Hungary, Italy,
Poland, Tunisia, Morocco and
Algeria. In addition to meeting
the children's food, clothing and
maintenance needs, JDC pro-
vides camp and athletic equip-
ment, personnel to work with
the campers, and other assist-
ance. Funds from government
and local sources supplement
JDC grants for the camps.
