Philip, Sadie Rice
Celebrate Golden
Wedding Sunday

The family and friends of Mr.
.and Mrs, Philip ,Rice will join
them in a celebration of their
golden wedding anniversary at
a dinner this Sunday evening
at Zacks'.
Natives of Russia, Philip and
Sadie Rice were married there
M June, 1899. They migrated
to this country 40 years ago
and have resided in Detroit
since that time. Mr. Rice, who
is 70, has been a tailor through-
out his residence here. His wife
is 67. They make their home at
2520 W. Euclid.
The Rices have eight chil-
dren: six sons, all married, Jack,
Walter, Edward, Ralph, Harold
and Marty; two daughters, Mrs.
Maynard Patler and Babe, and
13 grandchildren.
Other guests at the golden
anniversary celebration will in-
clude Mr. and Mrs. Max Rice
of Lynn, Mass.; Mr. and Mrs.
Alex Uptaker of Roxbury, Mass.;
Mr. and Mrs. A. Weiss of Chi-
cago, Ill., and Mrs. Ann Patler
of Glendale, Calif.

On Tuesday evening, June 14,
Mrs. Nathan Rosin installed the
following officers for the BETH
ITZCHOCK LADIES' AUXILI-
ARY: Mesdames Harry Salwin,
president; Jane Rosenfeld and
Bernard Shiller, vice-presidents;
Sol Robins, secretary; Joe Reif-
man, treasurer; Yetta Hochman,
recording secretary. The sick
committee is comprised of Esther
Miller and Mrs. Dave Horwitz.
Chairman of the Sunday School
is Mrs. Nathan Rosin. A recep-
tion followed the installation.

THE DRAMATIC GROUP of
.HENRY: MORGENTHAU CHAP-
TER of Bnai Brith held its an-
nual dinner at the Elmwood
Hotel June 15. Newly-elected of-

an artificial leg. 'The 'benefit
party committee reported that
the June 12 affair was success-

the home of Dora Derkowitz,

that $500 is being given to the
Child Rescue Fund and $300 to

at the Russian Bear.

Harold Bornstein, son of Mrs.
Fannie Bornstein of Claremont,
Fla., and the late Morris Born-
