Mrs. Samuel Blacher, president
of the Sisterhood, will introduce
the pulpit guest. Mrs. Steadman
is -active in civic affairs in Lan-
sing. She is a - member of the
Nationality Community Rela-
tiOns Board of the Young Worn-
ens Christian Association of that
city. She is secretary of the
Michigan Counciil of Bnai Brith
Women, and a member of the
board of the National Federation
of Temple Sisterhoods. "Accent
on Youth" will be her subject.
At the close of the service, the
Sisterhood will hold a reception
in honor of. Mrs. Steadman.
At Temple Israel services in
the main auditorium of the Insti-
tute of Arts Friday night, April
1, Rabbi Leon Frarn will review
"The Greatest Story Ever Told."
In addition to the Temple Israel
choir, the women's choir of the
Music Study Club, directed by
Dan Frohman, will render a spe-
cial program of Jewish music.
Annual Beth El Seder
Announced for April 14
The annual congregational Se-
der of Temple Beth El will be
held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April
14, in the social hall of the Tem-
ple.
The Seder meal will be served
by a professional caterer, and
the Seder ritual will be conduct-
ed by Dr. B. Benedict Glazer and
Rabbi Sidney Akselrad.
Music will be under the di-
rection of Jason H. Tickton, with
Morris Kesner as guest soloist.
Special treats will be given to
the children.
Reservations for . the Seder may
be made at the Temple office.
Boy Scout Troop 135, sponsored
by the Bnai Divid Men's Club
and headed by Scoutmaster Irwin
Ratner, will hold a model Seder
at 7:30 p. m. Wednesday, April
6, at the synagogue social hall:
Parents and Scouts are invited.
On March 23, the troop held
its 14th annual Court of Honor.
An Indian ceremonial dance
opened the investiture of 10 new
candidates.
LeRoy Golman became an
Eagle ScOut, the highest rank in
Scouting. Other promotions were
Life, Donald Nitzkin; Star, Shel-
don Kardener; Second Class,
Jerry Beigler, Simon Silver, Jay
Victor, Norman Sussman, Marvin
Ross and Neal Rosenfeld.
David Liebow, Scout committee
chairman, was presented a watch
for his nine years of leadership.
Religious School Starts
Education for Parents
Bnai David Religious School
has established a Parents' Insti-
tute. Prior to each holiday, the
parents assemble in the Audi-
torium of Central High School,
to hear a discussion on the es=
sential ideals, customs and cere-
monies of the approaching holi-
day.
Sunday, April 3, at 11 a.m., a
Parents' Institute for the Pass-
over festival will be held. All
parents are urged to attend.
Bnai Brith Organizes for U. S.
Spring Savings Bond Campaign
WASHINGTON — Bnai Brith
has organized its army of 350,000
men and women to assist in the
1949 national U. S. Spring Sav-
ings Bond drive ending June 30.

Boys' Club of Bnai David, an-
nounces that in addition to the
Sunday morning services held
for the last two years by the Club,
a new project has been estab-
lished to hold Sabbarn morning
services in the chapel.
Boys and girls, ages 13 to 18,
