The best amateur talent in De-
troit is being recruited by Bnai
Brith Tikvah Lodge for its all-
star boxing show to be held at
the Northwest Hebrew Congre-
gation and Center, Curtis at
Santa Rosa, Thursday, April 7.
Lou Handler will referee the
10 bouts.
According to Louis E. Barden,
president of Tikvah Lodge, boxers
competing in the program will
be of all faiths. Tikvah will
present trophies and other prizes
to the participants.
Tickets for the show may be
obtained from Tikvah Lodge
members; by calling the co-chair-
man, Sam Korby, UN. 3-7693, or
Zangwell Garber, UN. 4-4174; or
at the door on the night of the
show. Proceeds will be used for
philanthropic purposes.

the Minority Press in Detroit,"
will be presented under the
auspices of the Business and Pro-
fessional chapter of the Ameri-
can Jewish Congress at 8:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 24, at the Lee
Plaza.
Representatives from the Ital-
ian, Hungarian, Romanian, Negro,
Polish and Yiddish press will be
featured. An open discussion
with audience participation will
follow. Philip Slomovitz, editor
of The Jewish News, will be
moderator.
Zelden Cohen, president of the
chapter, invites the public to be
