Try and Stop Me

owe ninety dollars to my tailor.
Third, the electric light bill is
overdue. That's eighteen dollars
more. And fourth, I'm over-

at the bank already."

all the details, think of that,

and you'll have one worry left."
"What did I tell you?" said Wise. 'That fellow Kadlson's a

genius!"

A recent dispatch from Aberdeen, Scotland, advises us that Sir
Harry Lauder has purchased a dachshund—so that the entire family
can pet it at the same time.

TALLULAH BANKHEAD, back from a long tour in
"Private Lives," says that reports of the death of show
business on the road have been greatly exaggerated. "People

are hungry for good plays,"
avers Tallulah. "It's the
stars who are killing the
theatre. They get train
tick—or they can't leave
their psychoanalyst — or
they have a radio program
three times a week : any
excuse to avoid a season of
one-night stands.

"I don't mind touring. It's
true I sat up until five one
morning in a Wisconsin cross-
road station because of a missed
connection—but shucks, I've
stayed up later than that in
New York, for less reason--and
felt worse in the morning!"

of the Board of Education, the Board is afraid of the parents, the
