Dr. Morris Weitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Weitz of Fullerton
Ave., professor of philosophy at Vassar College, has returned from a
t9ur of the European countries. During the summer he attended the
conference of philosophers at Amsterdam, Holland, and the music
festival at Edinburgh,
Mrs. David Wolf. and daughter, Gloria Fay, of Fullerton Ave.
left for Los Angeles to attend the wedding of her nephew and cousin,
Robert Kaplan. They will remain all the holidays as guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Jack Feinberg, Mrs. Wolf's sister and brother-in-law.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Walker of Metuchen, N. J., have been
visiting her mother. Mrs. Benjamin Siegel of Boston B1\id.
Mr. and Mrs. Irving T. Oberfelder of Canterbury Rd. had as
their guests last week her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Louis Frankel of Lo.s Angeles.
Mr. and Mrs. Ellard Pfaelzer of Chicago are guests at the Book
Cadillac Hotel for a few days while visiting with friends.
Mrs. Gerald Tatarsky of Denver and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Ruskin
of Chicago spent the holidays with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Ginsburg of Chicago Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Allen of Lincolnshire Dr. have returned
from a few days' stay in Cleveland.
Mrs. Day Krolik of Wildemere Ave. and her son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold N. Brodie of Oak Dr.. have returned
from a 10-day stay in the Smoky Mts. and White Sulphur Springs, Va.
Mrs. Seymour Simons of Wildemere Ave. left Thursday to spend
a few days in Chicago.
Mrs. Leonard Mason and Ruth M. Levine of Detroit and Mrs.
Harvey Cole of Windsor, national officers of Iota Alpha Pi sorority,
are in Pittsburgh this weekend for the sorority's national council
meeting.
'Mrs. Fred Bernstein of Chicago is the house guest of Henry
Friedman and his children of Edison Ave. Her husband, Judge
Bernstein, who _was here for a few days, has returned home.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Gans of Pleasant Ridge have as their
guests her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Nathusius of New York.
Dr. Gus Fred of Boston visited with his brother-in-law and
sister, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Lieberman of Birchcrest Dr. enroute to
Chicago, where he will attend the medical meeting. He also will
spend a few days in Waco, Tex., with his mother before returning
home.
Mrs. Mark Alpern of Mt. Clements is spending a few weeks in
Chicago as the guest of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs.
Mortimer Feldman.
• Mr. and Mrs. Louis Michel of St. Louis are visiting with her
brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Baum of Fairfield
Ave., and her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Schembeck of
Monte Vista Ave. They are the house guests of the former.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Kline and their son, Dr. Allan Kline, have
moved from Cortland Ave. and are now residing at 16884 Birwood.
Mrs. Allan Klein of Lorain, 0. visited with members of her
family enroute to Lansing, where she was the guest for a few days
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Spiegelman.
- Mrs. Etta Comins of New York is leaving this Friday for Cali-
fornia, following a week's visit with her nephew and niece, Dr. and
Mrs. Herbert Bronson of Prairie Ave.
Harry Engelstein of Chicago spent the last week-end in Detroit
visiting with friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Becsky of Los Angeles, who have been the
guests of their cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Fox of Leslie Ave., left
on Thursday to spend a week in New York, and upon their return
will visit in Detroit for a short time before leaving for home.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kert of Toronto spent the last week-end
visiting with members of their family in Detroit and Windsor.
Mr. and Mrs. Isadore GalloW had as their guests last week-end
their children, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Atlas and son, Richard, of Kansas
City, Mo., Mrs. Erwin SLwen of Long Island, and Mr. and Mrs. I. E.
Brussel-Smith of New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Gotlib (Miriam Tobin) and daughter, Judith,
of Flint were the guests over the Holy Days of their parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Jack Tobin of Merton Rd.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Katz (Frances Bloom) are residing in their
new apartment on Boston Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Bialeck, formerly of Collingwood Ave., are
now residing in their new home at 18510 Woodingham Dr.

and Beatrice Fogel of Chicago this week-end.
Mrs. Lena Pinckney of Boston, Mass., is visiting with her chil-
dren, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Falk, and granddaughter, Nancy, of
Stoepel Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Weinberg of Monterey Ave. celebrated their
25th wedding anniversary by attending a surprise party at their
home Oct. 9, given by Mr. and Mrs. Zolton Glantz and Mr. and Mrs.
Julius Chupack.
Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Overton annuonce the return of their son,
Bob, who had been touring the Southwest and Mexico since leaving
the service. He will reside with his parents at 2312 Taylor.

telle Lazar and Samuel C. Assik
was solemnized at a candlelight
ceremony at Bnai Moshe Sept. 26.
Rabbi Moses Lehrman officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Isadore Lazar of,Sturte-
vant Ave., and her husband's
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Ben-
jamin Assik, also of Sturtevant
Ave.
The bride wore a traditional
gown of ivory satin, with seed
pearl embroidery. The full skirt
extended into a court train. Her
fingertip veil fell from a satin
crown embroidered with seed
pearls. She carried an arrange-
ment of white orchids.
The bride's sister, Alice Lazar,
was maid-of-honor, and the
bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Abra-
ham Brodsky, was matron of hon-
or. Bridesmaids were Irene As-
sik, sister of the bridegroom,
Miriam Leebove and Mrs. Rich-
ard Lazar. Edgar Landerman of
Pittsburgh served as best man,
and seating the guests were the
bride's three brothers, Dr. Mor-
ton, Howard and Richard Lazar,
and Abraham Brodsky.
Following the wedding dinner,
the young couple left for Miami
Beach. After Nov. 1 they will be
at home at the Highland Towers.
