will be held this Saturday and

The school will offer a compre-
hensive program of Jewish his-
tory and ceremonials, Bible, He-
-brew and Jewish literature. •
The school also will sponsor a
Tuesday afternoon bourse in He-
breW to those students interested
in obtaining additional training.
This will supplement the Satur-
day and Sunday Hebrew program.

Temple Israel High School has
opened its sessions for young
men and women, 16 to 18. There
are classes in comparative re-
ligion, Jewish history and litera-
ture.
In the pre-kindergarten or
nursery class of Temple Israel
Religious School now in session,
are entered children of the age
of 4. _ All the classes will meet
Sunday morning, except the Con-
firmation Department, grades 6,
7, 8 and 9, which meets on Sat-
urday morning.
The Union of American He-
brew Congregations has pub-
lished Rabbi Leon Fram's High
Holy Day sermon "The Twilight
of the Year" in a volume "A Set
of Holiday Sermons."

The formal 'opening of the
Russian Bear Inn in its new
quarters at 62 E. Columbia St.,
will be held on Friday, , Oct. 1,
according to announcement by
Serge JeromskY and A. Poznan-
ski. Russian Bear Inn was form-
erly located at 25 W. Columbia.
The new home of the Russian
Bear Inn occupies two floors and
will be lavishly furnished with
the Russian motif throughout.
The Russian Balalaika orchestra
will return to play for the enter-
tainment of its guests.
