. Alene Blumberg, who attends Monticello College, will return
home Dec. 18 to spend the winter vacation with her parents, the
Irving Blumbergs of Canterbury Rd.
Mr. and Mrs. I. Rodman Myers have moved from the Lee Plaza
Apt: and are now residing at the Seward Hotel.
Mr: and Mrs. Victor W. Klein and their son, Bobby, of Stratford
Rd. are spending the week-end in Chicago as the guests of her
brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lowell.
Mrs. Irving Engel of New York spent a few days as the guest
of. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Welt of Whitmore Rd. enroute to Indianapolis.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel M. Epstein have moved from Canterbury
Rd. and are for the present residing at 825 Whitmore Rd. Mrs. Ep-
stein returned this week from a visit in New York. -
Mr. and Mrs. Whitne3'T.C. Roemer are now residing at 7666 14th.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sills of Oak Dr. left on Thursday for New
York, where they will be guests at the St. Regis Hotel for a-few days.
Mrs. Joseph Rosenbaum of Chicago spent a few days with her
cousins, Miss Sadie Hirschman of Glynn Ct. and Mr. and Mrs. I. R.
Myers of the Seward .Hotel, enroute home from New York, where
she attended the meeting of the True Sisters.
Mrs. Louis Smilansky of Burns Dr. left last Sunday for Cincin-
nati, where she plans to spend a week visiting with friends.
Mrs. Julius Rothchild of Moss Ave. has left to spend a few
months visiting with her brother in Havana, Cuba.
Mrs. Rose Myers of Burlingame Ave. left on Thursday for Cali-
fornia where she will spend the winter months.
Mr. and Mrs. Davis Feere of the Belcrest are planning. to leave
on Sunday for New York, where they will be guests at the St. Regis
Hotel for a week.
Mrs. Morris Zack of Atkinson Ave. left on Thursday for Hot
Springs, Ark., where she will spend the winter months.
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond S. Moers of Edison Ave. are spending a
fortnight in Florida.
Mrs. David Marks of Merton Rd. is leaving this Friday for Los
Angeles, Calif., where she will be a guest at the Beverly Wilshire
Hotel. Mr. Marks is planning to join her later.
Mr. and Mrs. Leon Winkelman of Fairfield Ave. left on Monday
for New York, where they will be guests for a week at the Warwick
Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel E. Lind of Whitmore Rd. -have left for
Jacksonville, Fla., where they will spend a few weeks before going
on to Miami Beach, where they plan to spend the winter months.
They will be guests at the Greenview Hotel.
Ellis Fisher of Lakewood Ave. spent the week-end as the guest
of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Ginsberg of
Newton Centre, Mass.
Mrs: Aaron Hartz of Leslie Ave. left .on Tuesday fOr Oakland,
Calif., where she will be the guest of her son-in-law and daughter,
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Smith.
Mr.. and MrseSamnel Blacher of Greenlawn Ave, are expected
home this week-end from New York, where they have been guests
for a week at the Vanderbilt Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. William Bassichis and their daughter, Sally, have
returned to their home in Cleveland after a visit as the guests of
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wagner of Wellesly Dr.
Mrs. Earl Freshman and her small son, Richard, of Huntington
Woods have left for a stay in Coral Gables, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. John A. Sills of San Juan Dr. are spending a few
weeks in New York.

Fete UN Decision

Mr. and Mrs. Murray Liberman
have returned from their New
York honeymoon. Their wedding
took place Nov. 9 at Bnai Moshe
Synagogue.
The bride is the former Evelyn
Horowitz, daughter of the Rev. and
Mrs. E. Horowitz j of 2032 Glad-
stone Ave. Her husband's parents
are Mr. and Mrs. S. Liberman of
3380 Monterey.

Actress to Appear
At Round Table's
January Luncheon

Cornelia Otis Skinner will be
guest of honor at a January
luncheon to be given by the De-
troit Round Table of Catholics,
Jews and Protestants.
The Women's Committee of the
Round Table is in charge of pro-
motion for the luncheon, which
will be held Jan. 9 in the Fount-
ain Room of Masonic Temple.
Miss Skinner, who has worked
with actors' groups in the Nation-
al Conference of Christian and
Jews, will be in Detroit in "Lady
Windemere's Fan" at that time.
Mrs. Leo Walser, Catholic co-
chairman of the Womeri's Com-
mittee, will preside. Mrs.. John
C. Hopp, Jewish co-chairman,
will extend greetings, and Mrs.

Cong. Shaarey Zedek and his
choir will conduct Sabbath ser-
vices at the Jewish Home for
Aged on Saturday, Dec. 27, ac-
cording to Dr. Benjamin Welling,
chairman of the Home's recrea-
tion committee.
Detroit cantors have agreed to
give up one Saturday each to
provide services for the residents
of the Home. Cantor Ruben Boy-
arsky of _Cong. Mishkan Israel
and Cantor Hyman J. Adler of
Cong. Bnai Davis already have
presented services in this series.

Dr. Moshe Lev of Chicago will
address the Zionist-Revisionist
pro-Palestine demonstration Dec.
25 at the Bnai Moshe. The Jewish
War Veterans Color Guard will
advance the Colors. There will be
a musical program.
On, Dec. 11, the Revisionists
honored Sol B. Edelman, its
treasurer, at a Hanukah celebra-
tion at Lachar's.

chairmen reported favorably on
progress for the coming donor
event.
Chana Michlln, the council's
general chairman, reported she
received cables from Bebe Edel-
son of Palestine urging funds be
transmitted immediately to . aid
the 2,000 children and 400 infants
from Cyprus on their way to
Palestine.
An invitation is extended to
members; friends and to organiz-
ations to participate in celebrating
the Jewish State victory at the
pre-donor rally Monday evening,
Dec. 15, at the Book-Cadillac.
Mrs. Erma Ehrlich will be guest
speaker. Pavel Slavensky-Freil-
ich will provide the musical pro-
gram.
Yetta Landy, child rescue and
building fund chairman, reports
pledges are coming in steadily
from organizations. Gifts are
