Following is part of the reso-
lution:
"The United States has long been
vitally concerned over _the future of
the Jewish National Home. By a sep-
arate treaty with England—the Anglo-
American Convention of 1924—our
country accepted the role of one of
the guarantors of Jewish Palestine's
future and well-being. Every Presi-
dent of the United States since Wood-
row Wilson has voiced positive sup-
port of the Jewish National Home....
"Therefore, in view of Britain's in-
fidelity with reference to its solemn
obligations to the Jewish National
Home; in view of its *squalid war' In
Palestine; In view of its insincerity
in submitting Palestine to the United
Nations; in view of the desperate
plight of European Jewish refugees,
and in view of the United States' tra-
ditional policy of friendship for the
Jewish National Home, we respect-
fully call upon the Government of the
United States to take the Initiative
during the forthcoming special meet-
ing of the General Assembly of the
United Nations. in vigorously cham-
pioning the program for Palestine
which It has repeatedly reaffirmed.
thereby defeating the British Govern-
ment's attempt to employ the United
Nations session as a maneuver to
retain its present Palestine policy. .
"Pending a final settlement of this
question by the United Nations the
great weight of the U. S. government
should be brought to bear on the
mandatory government to the end that
an interim policy based upon the ex-
isting, Mandate be set into motion at
once providing for immediate large-
scale Jewish immigration into Pales-
tine and the removal forthwith of the
discriminatory land restrictions in the
Jewish National Home,"
