ACTIVITIES IN SOCIETY
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Lewis of Birmingham are spending 10
days in Charlevoix.
Pvt. John Kaichen, who is stationed at Fort Knox, Ky., is
spending a 10-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Kaichen. of Huntington Woods.
Mary Brown of Lucerne Dr. has as her guest for a week Barbara
Welling of Los Angeles, Cal. Before returning to Petoskey, where
she is spending the summer with her aunts, Barbara will also spend
a week as the house guest of Lois Hopp of. Boston Blvd.
Joan Grosner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan S. Grosner of
Atkinson Ave., is spending a month in Los Angeles visiting her aunt,
Mrs. Irma Marks.
Miss Marilyn Miller off Cincinnati is the guest of her uncle and
aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald May of Wildemere Ave.
Miss Zelma Rosenthal of the Belcrest Hotel and her sister, Mrs.
Archie Barnett of Pontiac, are spending a fortnight in Frankfort.
Miss Shirley Goldman. of ,Canterbury Rd. has as her guests Miss
Gloria Kaplan of Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marwil of LaSalle Blvd. have left by motor
for Portland, Me., where they will visit their son and daughter-in-
law, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Marwil. They plan to make a stay in
Old Orchard, Me., before returning home.
Mr. and Mrs. I. Rodman Myers and their daughter, Helen, of
Longfellow Ave. and their sister, Miss Sadie Hirschman of Glynn Ct.
are spending the summer in Frankfort.
Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Winkelman and their small son and
daughter of Renfrew Rd. are spending a month at Harbor Springs.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Kline of Cortland Ave. and Mr. and Mrs.
Armin Hartman. of Dexter Blvd. left last Sunday to spend three
weeks in Frankfort.
Mrs. David Diamond of Longfellow Ave. has left for Memphis,
Tenn., to visit with her son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs.
Harvey Lynn.
Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Coggan (LaVerne Weiss) of Chicago
Blvd. have left for Los Angeles where they plan to make an ex-
tended stay.
MRS. PHILLIP AGREE
The Durant Hotel in Flint was
the scene of a beautifully appont-
ed wedding, Sunday evening, July
14, when Miss Marion R. Bailies,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William
Bailies, and Phillip Agree,- son of
Mr. t and Mrs. Benjamin -Agree,
were united in marriage by Rabbi
Jacob Horowitz.
The bride was charming in her
gown of white lace with its yoke
of fine illusion forming a high
round neckline on the fitted bod-
ice and with the very full skirt
extending into a long -train. Her
fingertip veil of illusion fell from
a pearl-studded coronet and she
carried a Bible to which white or-
chids were attached.
Mrs; Louis • Epstein was • the
matron of honor, Florence Bailies
was her sister's maid of honor, the
bridegroom's sister, Saide Agree,
served as junior, bridesmaid, and
Susan Epstein as - flower girl. Gil-
bert Rubinstein was Mr. Agree's
best man.
Following the dinner and large
reception, Mr. and Mrs. Agree, left
for Mackinac Island where they
will be guests at the Grand Hotel.

The board of directors of Pales-

clared a regular quarterly dividend
of $1. per share on its common
stock, payable Aug. 15, to stock-
holders of record July 25, at a
meeting on July 9, at the cor-
