Passover Programs Set
For All Branches of UHS

Passover programs will be held
Thursday afternoon, April 18, in
all branches of the United He-
brew schools. The main features
of these programs are playlets
centered around the Passover
holiday, community singing di-
rected by members of the staff;
recitations, and in some classes a
Passover quiz on laws and cus-
toms.
At the David W. Simons
branch, the Passover program is
sponsored by the newly organiz-
ed Hebrew Parent-Teachers as-
sociation in cooperation with the
PAUL - TWEED, general sales staff. Mrs. Morris Adler will be
manager of Aaron DeRoy Kaiser- the guest speaker. Refreshments

Always handy with a good joke
whether he tells it or is a part
of it . . . Like the time at a
birthday party given for him
when we were one of those who
helped put him into a buggy
standing in the Wilshire hall-
way . . . After he was rigged up
in baby bonnet and all, the guests
actually cried from laughing so
much . . . But the crown point

INSURANCE BOSS, Harry
Bauman, likes to tell the story
about an agent friend of his who
was selling a policy to a woman
on her husband's life . . . Was
having such an easy time of it
that thoughts began running
through his mind . . . He was
beginning to think it was too
easy . . . When all the details
were completed, she asked him,
"Nov, if my husband should die
tomorrow, what would I get?"
. . . "That would depend entire-
ly," he said, "on how the evi-
dence is presented to the jury."
