Lt. James Zuckerman has returned to his post at Fort Mon-
mouth, N. J., after spending a five-day leave with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Elmer Zuckerman at the Book Cadillac Hotel.
Miss Nancy Levin will arrive this Saturday from Annendale-on-
the-Hudson, N. Y., where she is a student at Bard College, to spend
the holiday vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Levin of
Muirland Ave.
Donald Friedman of St. Louis, a student at Washington Uni-
versity, will spend the coming week with his uncle and aunt, Mr.
and Mrs. Jack Rothberg of Chicago Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Tobias Garon of Stoepel Ave. are leaving this Sat-
urday to spend a few weeks in Mexico. Their daughter, Gita, will
visit relatives in St. Paul and Superior, Minn.
Mrs. Rose Lipson of Merton Rd. left Sunday for a month in New
York City,
Miss Isabel Wolfner of 19240 Burlington Dr. is having her usual
-open house on Dec. 25.
Mr. and Mrs. Philip Brown will return Saturday from St. Louis,
.Mo., where they attended the wedding of Mr. Brown's niece, Miss
Caroline Yalem.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward C. Frank of Santa Rosa Dr. were hosts at
a cocktail party in their home last Wednesday evening in honor of
their son and daughter-in-law, Lt. and Mrs. Eci,ward C. Frank Jr.
Lt. Frank is on leave from his post with the Navy Medical Corps in
San Francisco, Calif.
Paul May, a student at Lawrenceville School, N. J., is spending
the holidays with his parents, Mr. .and Mrs. Gerald May of Wilde-
mere Ave.

are leaving Saturday to spend 10 days in Cincinnati with Mrs. Er-

is spending her vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph

garden before her marriage last Sunday, a group of friends gave a
dinner on Nov. 24 at the home of Betty Kurtz in Cortland Ave. On
Nov. 27 her aunts, Mrs. H. A. Keys, Miss Doris Keys and Mrs. D.
A. Levine, were hostesses at a dinner and shower at the Wilshire
Hotel, and on Dec. 9, the Misses Marilyn Katz, Gloria Levine and
Tommy Chafetz gave a dinner and shower at the Pallister tea room.

Sisterhood to Raise
Kitchen Fund for
New Temple Israel
Mrs. Citrin Named Chair-
man of Project for Post
War Structure
Mrs. Jacob A. Citrin has been
named chairman of the new pro-
ject of the Sisterhood of Temple
Israel, to raise a fund for the
furnishing of the kitchen in the
new Temple Israel building to
be erected after the war.
Mrs. Citrin's appointment was
announced by Mrs. Samuel B.
Dant2, president of the Sister-
hood.
Funds to be raised for this pro-
ject, as well as all funds raised
for the Temple Israel building
fund, will be turned into U. S.
War Bonds.
Of interest in the project is the
plan to have women make their
contributions in the form of the
purchase of War Stamps placed
in books which will carry the
name "Temple Israel Sisterhood
Kitchen Project."
