Serviceman's Bride
Miltori S. Cohen, son of Mr. • and Mrs. Max Cohen of Oakman
Blvd., has left for St. Petersburg, Fla., where he will attend the
Florida Military Academy.
Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Meyersohn of Cortland Ave. celebrated the
Bar Mitzvah of their son, Aubrey, at a house reception, Sunday,
Sept. 10. He was confirmed Saturday, at Congregation Bnai Jaco
Richton and Linwood.
Sheldon M. LaBret, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. D. LaBret of San
Juan Dr., is attending Gordon Military Academy, Burnesville, Ga.,
aftr espending the summer with his parents in Charlevoix, Mich.
Dr. 'and Mrs. Shmarya Kleinman entertained on Wednesday
evening in honor of Luther Adler and members of the company
appearing at the Lafayette in "Uncle Harry."
Dr. Bernice K. Warren had as her guest during the past week
her brother-in-law, Dr. Sidney Warren of Toronto, Canada, a First
Lieutenant in the Canadian Army. '
Mrs. S. K. Slobin of the Seward Hotel is spending a few months
with relatives and friends in Los Angeles, Calif.
Mrs. Al Sklar, her daughter, Paula, and son, Lawrence, of Law-
rence Ave., accompanied by Mrs. Sklar's mother, Mrs. H. J. Aran,
returned from Atlantic City where they spent their vacation.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Cohen and daughters Saral6e, have returned
from Los Angeles and are now residing on Edison Ave.
Miss Betty Goldberg of the Belcrest *as honored at a luncheon
and splash party given at Knowlwood Country Club on Aug. 29,
on her 16th birthday. Eighteen of Miss Goldberg's friends were
invited to the party which was given by Mrs. Moe B. Diamond
of Calvert Ave.
The Misses Elaine and Arleen Barnet have returned from a
three-week vacation at Barnett Lodge, .East Bay Show Road,
Traverse City, Mich., where they . were joined by Mr. and Mrs.
David Barnett, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Barnett, Mr. and Mrs. Barney
Barnett and Reuben Barnett of Great Lakes.
Mrs. J. Goldfarb and daughter, Sybil, of Monterey Ave. have
left to make their home at 625 Meridan, Miami Beech, Fla. Mr.
Goldfarb will join them later this season. En route, Mrs. Goldfarb
will visit with her children, Ensign and. Mrs. Leonard E. - Adler.
Ensign Adler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Adler of Clements
Ave., is stationed in Jacksonville, Fla.
Commander Esther Gitlin of the U. S. Navy recruiting station
was the house guest of Justice Frank Murphy and his sister, Mrs.
William Teahan, at their home at Harbor Beach. Commander
Gitlin was recently a guest of the Kalman Shaperos' at their
summer home.
Mrs. Samuel J. Almug and daughter, Henrietta, of Rochester
Ave. returned from Buffalo. N. Y. where they were the guests
of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Yenoff.
Pvt. and Mrs. P. S. Levine, now of Yuba City, Calif., are
visiting their parent, Mr. and Mrs. A. Levine and Mr. and Mrs.
Reisig. Pvt. and Mrs. Levine (Norma Reisig) were married
in Los Angeles, Calif., on June 6.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester L. Paul and . .daughters, 'Patricia and
- -Jacqueline, have returned from a three-Week stay 'in Charlevoix,
Mich.
Louis J. Gordon has returned to the city after two years of
'al*tive duty with the United. States Army Air- FOrCes. Mr. Gordon
was honorably discharged from the station hospital at the Nash-
ville Convalescent Center.
Ernest D. Bright, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bright of Glen-
.:dale Ave., is leaving for Rochester University, Eastman School of
Music. Ernest won a scholarship to the school after an audition
at Interlochen Music Camp last year. His brother, Sgt. Gerald
Bright, is now stationed somewhere in India.
Dr. and Mrs. Allan R. Wolfe of Northlawn Ave. have returned
from a week-end visit to New York.
Cpl. Milton S. Cohen, who has completed a course in Flexible
Gunnery Training at Yuma, Ariz., is spending a brief furlough with
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cohen, 2985 Leslie. His brother,
Herman, is now serving overseas.
Cpl. Reuben Nichamin and Cpl. Larry Nichamin, sons of Mr.
and Mrs: Alex Nicharnin, - are-home on- a 12-day "furlough:

dinner party in the Penthouse of the Park Avenue Hotel on Sept.:
