The opening meeting of RO-
DIN CLUB was held in the form Bride Residing
of a luncheon on Sept. 13, at
the home of Mrs. Nathan Fish-

JUNIOR BNAI BRITH GIRLS,
Frances Solovich Group, an-
nounce postponement of the
meeting that was scheduled for
Sept. 6 to Sept, 20, due to the
prevailing polio epidemic. The
meeting wil be held at the Louis
Marshall Center, Richton and
Linwood. Sylvia Kosit is presi-
dent of the group which has 144
members, ages 14 to 17.

LADIES OF YESHIVATH
BETH YEHUDAH are complet-
ing plans for their 16th annual
donor luncheon to be held Oct.
31 at the Yeshivah Bldg. on
Dexter. There will be a guest
speaker and vocal selections.
The public is invited. Proceeds
will be used for the mainte-
nance of the Yeshivah. For in-
formation and reservations call

EVA PRENZLAUER MATER-
NITY AID, at its first meeting of
the season held at the home of
Mrs. Joseph Siegel, made plans
for the annual donor luncheon
to be held Dec. 26 at the Book
Cadillac Hotel. Mrs. M. Mendel-
son was chosen chairman; Mrs.
D. Kalla-n, co-chairman; Mrs. Sie-
gel and Mrs. Morris L. Solomon,
in charge of the souvenir book.
Members of the organization
were hostesses at the Downtown
USO. The next meeting will be
held Oct. 3 at the home' of Mrs.
N. Blatnikoff. •

BNAI MOSHE SISTERHOOD
will sponsor an Ida Hibbard Fund
card parry on Dec. 6. Mrs. Fay
Freeman heads the committee in
charge. Proceeds will be used to
purchase artificial arms for dis-
abled soldiers. Mrs. I. E. Good-
man, president, welcomed new
members at the paid-up member-
ship tea held Sept. 11.

INFANTS SERVICE GROUP
met at the home of Mrs. Doris
Gantz, 17545 Sorrento, Sept. 11,
and made plans for the main
event to be held in January. Re-
hearsals will begin early next
month. Mrs. Mickey Levin an-
nounced that the club would be
hostess at a Sunday breakfast
and at ' a Friday evening service
for men in the armed forces. An
early date is planned for a Blood
Donor .Day.

WOMEN'S AUXILIARY, JEW-
ISH HOME FOR THE AGED,
held a board meeting in the
lounge of the Home Sept. 13.
Mrs. N. J. Lippitt, president, ap-
pointed IVI•s. Samuel Weller as
hostess for the annual tea to be
held Oct. -16. Mrs. S. Schwartz,
purchasing chairman, bought pil-
lows and hosiery for the Home.

School and University of Michi-

the wedding. Mr. and Mrs.
Rosenbaum will be at home to
their family and friends this Sat-

Bishop Haas Co-Head
Of Council for Tolerance

The Council Against Intoler-
ance in America announces that
the Most Rev. Francis J. Haas,
Bishop of the Diocese of Grand
Rapids, has accepted co-chair-
manship of the Council.
Bishop Haas who was chair-
man of the Fair Employment
Practice Committee and Dean
of the Catholic University of
America, will fill the vacancy
caused by the death of Senator
W. Warren. Barbour who had
been co-chairman since the
Council's organization in 1938.

M. Hershman.
The ceremony was performed
in the home of Rabbi Hershman
and was attended by the bride's
parents and Sgt. Davidson's par-
ents and sister. Samuel Beckman
was best man.
The bride wore a winter white
street length dress and elbow
length gloves with a white felt
hat swathed in pink veiling. She
carried an orchid surrounded by
gladiola petals which formed a
small hand bouquet.
The wedding ceremony was
followed by a dinner at the Book
