Assisting Mr. Welt are three
captains : Irving Blumberg, Mr.

job is to obtain contributions
from industrial firms, office and
factory employes.
Three meetings for the Red
Cross will be held Monday,
March 8.
Justice To Speak
At 2:15 p.

speak to the Temple , Beth El
Sisterhood, in Temple Beth El,
Gladstone and Woodward.
At 9:15 p. m., Prof. Samuel M.
Levin, of Wayne University, will
speak to the Bnai Brith 'Wom-
en's Auxiliary 122, at the Bnai
Moshe Synagogue, 3710 Law-
,. rence Ave. At 10:30 p. m., Abe
R. Cheraw will speak on the
Red Cross to the Ruziner Pro-
gressive Verein, at the Bnai
Moshe.

JWV Auxiliary Seeks
Red Cross Solicitors

Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish
War Veterans is forming teams
to solicit pledges in Detroit's
$3,000,000 Red Cross War Fund
Drive. In charge of Red Cross
Unit No. 57, located at 11715.
Dexter Blvd., the Auxiliary urges
volunteers to report there or to
phone Mrs. Ruth Bolhower, TY.
7-7351, or Mrs. Netti Raskin, TO.
7-8437.
Unit No. 57 will canvass the
area within the northwest sec-
tion. The station is open daily
from,,10 a. m. to 4 p. m. Monday
through Thursday, and also from
6:30 D. m. to 10 p. m. evenings.
The production unit for women
interested in sewing and knitting
for the Red Cross is located at
the Rose Sittig Cohen • Bldg.,
13266 Lawton Ave. The work
shop is opened on Mondays and
Wednesdays from 10 a. in. to 3
o p. tn, Mrs. Edith Meskin is chair-
man of the project.
Mrs. Rose M. Cowan is presi-
dent of the Ladies Auxiliary of
