The United Jewish Appeal, which raises the
funds for the Joint Distribution Committee, Unit-
ed Palestine Appeal and the National Refugee
Service, is the arsenal of hope, the lifeline supply-
ing the front for Jewish survival in the face of the
most severe hardships and tragedies that any
people has ever endured.
It is oar responsibility as Americans and as
Jews to give our maximum support to the War
Chest so that the Jewish people together with
other peoples who are in great need may be help-
ed to survive until victory brings liberation and
new life to all of the world's homeless and op-
pressed.
For the coming year, the way to assist this
life-saving work, now that the Allied Jewish Cam_
paign is part of the War Chest, is by contributing
to this great War Chest of Metropolitan Detroit.
