Rex Lodge
Rex Lodge will celebrate its
first anniversary, as well as the
first day of Hanukkah, at 8:30
p.m., Monday at Friendship
Hall, Dexter and Fenkell. The
program, which has been ar-
ranged by Irving Adler, program
chairman, will consist of a his-
torical skit of lodge highlights,
selections of songs by the choir,
Sind refreshments and dancing.
President David Rappaport in-
vites members and prospective
members to this celebration.
Chez-La-Roix, Rex Lodge's con-
tribution to Detroit entertain-
ment, will again take place. Two
years ago the Chez-La-Roix was
presented by a Rex group and on
Feb. 10, the entertainers will
emerge from retirement. Tickets
will be available to all.
The chapter will meet at 8:30
p.m., Thursday, Dec. 7, at the
Young Israel Temple, Dexter and
Fullerton. Mrs. Charles Jones,
ADL chairman, announces the
presentation of the film "A
Measure of Freedom," starring
Raymond Massey. Haskell La-
zaar, regional director of ADL,
will conduct the "Rumor Clinic."
Refreshments and a social hour
will follow. Mrs. Boris Bronson,
program chairman, invites the
members to bring their husbands
and friends to this meeting.

The lodge will hold its annual
veterans' party Wednesday eve-
ning, Dec. 13 in the Dearborn
Veterans Hospital. This will take
the form of a millionaire's party,
in which the patients in the hos-
pital will be given stage money
to play on the various equip-
ment, which will be set up by
the members of the lodge. The
veterans will then cash in their
stage money for prizes. Lodge
members interested in visiting
the Veterans Hospital should call
the veterans affairs chairman,
