Frisch Unit Sets
Hanukkah Fete

lladassah Fashions

Rabbi Lehrman, latkes games
and Hanukkah gifts will fill out
the evening for the members of
the Daniel Frisch Chapter at
their Hanukkah party Thursday,
Dec. 7.
The meeting will begin at
8:30 p.m. and will be held at
the home of Dorothy and Goldie
Gartz, 2685 Carter.
Rabbi Moses P. Lehrman of
Congregation Bnai Moshe will
speak on The Meaning of
Hanukkah."
Tybie Schneider, program chair-
man. has planned many games
for the evening. She has organ-
ized Hanukkah grab bag for
which each one attending must
bring a 25-cent gift.
No other admission will be
charged members and invited
guests.

to Commence
New Building

The beginning of construction
of the new building of the Bnai
Brith Ilillel Foundation in Ann
Arbor will be celebrated on Sun-
day, Dec. 10.
Rabbi Arthur J. Lelyveld, na-
tional director of Billet, will be
the principal speaker at the open-
ing event scheduled at 3 p.m.
Lane Hall, University of Michi-
gan. Following this convocation,
the assemblage will convene at
4:30 p.m. at 1429 Ilill street, the
site of the new $350,000 building,
Where Maud:kali tapers will be
lit.

Pauline Trigere passes final judgment on one of her creations
worn by New York's most famous fashion model, Lisa Fonssa-
griv:s. Miss Trigere will do her own narrating at Iladassah's
honor roll fashion show. The wardrobes of the world's best
dressed women, the Duchess of Windsor, Mrs. William Paley, and
Gloria Swanson among them, include many of Pauline Trigere's
originals, and now Detroit women will have the opportunity of
meeting Miss Trigere and viewing a selection of her creations at
the lladassah honor roll fashion show to be held Dec. 12 at the
Masonic Temple. Mrs. Charles Gershenson has been chairman of
arrangtmerts for the fashion show. There is still time to make
contributions to Hadassah's honor roll campaign for 1950 and so
witness this event. For details of where to send your contribu-
