Margery Elaine Kanter
Wed to Joseph Adinoff

The marriage of Alice Berman
to David Weinstein was solemniz-
ed with beautiful appointments
at the Park Manor in Los An-
geles.
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Jacob H. Berman of Broad-
, street boulevard, and the late
Mr. Berman. Mr. and Mrs. Isa-
dor Weinstein of Redondo Beach,
Calif., are parents of the bride-
groom.
The couple are making their
home in Redondo Beach follow-
ing a honeymoon at Catalina Is-
land.

The home of the bride's moth-
er was the scene of the marriage
of Margery Elaine Kanter to
Joseph Adinoff. Rabbi Leon Fram
officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Jerome Kanter and the late
Mr. Kanter. Mr. and Mrs. Sam
Adinoff of Port Huron are par-
ents of the bridegroom.
A white satin gown was chos-
en by the bride. The veil, worn
by her maternal grandmother 56
years ago, was trimmed with
lace and orange blossoms. She
carried a bouquet of white roses
and carnations centered with an
orchid.
Josephine Jackson was the
bride's only attendant. Mortin
Edin served his brother as best
man.
Following a reception, the cou-
ple left for a honeymoon in New
York City. They will make _their
home at 3240 Rochester avenue.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Phillips of
Fairfield avenue celebrated their
25th wedding anniversary Sun-
day.

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Blacher
of Greenlawn avenue have re-
turned from a fortnight's visit
in New York City.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gottes-
man of Canterbury road enter-
tained friends at dinner Satur-
day evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Milton Gordon
of Wildemere avenue will be
hosts at a cocktail party Sunday
in honor of Dr. and Mrs. Harry
Kirschbaum. •

Mr. and Mrs. Mark Rafelson
of Oak drive celebrated their
36th wedding anniversary Dec. 8.

Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Kopple of
Parkside avenue were hosts to
friends at a dinner party last
Saturday.

Mrs. David Werbe acted as
hostess when the College Service
Committee, representing colleges
and universities of Michigan,
gave an evening party at the
Art Institute in connection with
the Michigan Artists' Exhibition.

Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs.
Theodore Schwartz of Boston
boulevard west were their son
Philip, a cadet at St. Johns Mili-
tary Academy, and their daugh-
ter, Mrs. J. Charles Baer of St.
Louis.

Mrs. Harold Jaffe and her son
Jeffrey Lowell of Toledo visited
Mrs. Jaffe's parents, Mr. and
