The regular monthly meeting of
the Youth Education League was
held on Oct. 7 at the Rose Sittig
Cohen building.
Hostesses at a dessert luncheon
which preceded the meeting were

Cern, A. Ehrlich, M. Heller and
M. Coleman.
Airs. James V. Browne, presi-
dent, announced that the organi-
zation was selected to work as a
unit for • the Community Fund
Drive and that Oct. 14 is the date
for USO service for its members.
A large collection of canned foods
was contritiuted to the SOS cam-
paign.
Larry Weintraub who arrived In
this country recently from Eu-
rope, spoke on European concen-
tration camps.

SOS committee, which will spear-
head a drive among youth organi.

supplies for overseas survivors.
The appointment was made by
Norman Naimark, of Detroit, chair-
man of the east central region.
Berman will work with the vice
chairmen of the youth division
and with adult SOS committees
to stimulate a maximum partici-
pation of young people. The month
of October will be devoted to the
first major project of collecting
canned foods.
Other regional officers of the
youth division include: Richard B.
Kramer, senior vice chairman for
Detroit; Ann D. Brooks and Ed-
ward A. Simon, chairmen, Detroit;
and Detroit council members, Dr.
