Corporal Rubin met his bride in the medical unit of the U. S. Ar-
my in Paris. The bride's parents were formerly from Iraq. Corporal
and Mrs. Rubin spent ,their honeymoon sojourning at Nice on the
Riviera.

Culminating its fund-raising pro-
ject, the Detroit Unit of Junior
Hadassah will sponsor a semi-
formal %dance, Saturday, March 9,
at the Crystal Ballroom of the
Book-Cadillac Hotel. Mickey Woolf
and his orchestra will provide the
music. Tickets may be purchased
at the door, according to Gertrude
Goldman, fund-raising chairman.
Proceeds from the dance will go
toward supporting Junior Hadas-
sah projects, primary of which, is
the maintenance of Meier Shfey-
ah, a children's village used as
haven for war victims.

Sisterhood to
Meet Monday
The annual meeting of the Con-
gregation Bnai Moshe Sisterhood
will take place on Monday after-
noon, March 11, at the Dexter-
Lawrence Hall. The meeting will
be opened by a prayer to be of-
fered by Mrs. James Sobel. Presi-
dent Mrs. I. E. Goodman has re-
quested that all chairmen submit
written reports at this meeting.
A dessert luncheon, to be served
at 12:30 p.m., will immediately
precede the business meeting.
At the food shower held recent-
ly under the auspices of the Sis-
terhood, more than a ton of food
was,. gathered, and dispatched to
the JDC for European distribu-
tion.
