Michigan Synagogue
Conference Calls for
War Bonds Appeals
In this Milchemeth Mitzvo, in
this war to defeat the enemy of
Israel, the enemy of America, and
the ellenlY of mankind, it is our
solemn duty to participate in all
erotic to achieve the victory.
In addition to manpower, we
need money power. We must pro-
vide the man on the battlefield
with a mmunition. Our government
asks us to make our investments
in War Bonds. It is a most at-
tractive investment. For every
$3 you invest in War Bonds you
receite $4 at the time of matur-
ity.
In the name of the Michigan
Synagogue Conference, we ask you
to pause during services to call
for pledges from all your wor-
shippers to buy War Bonds—to
buy for themselves and their
childrens' freedom.
According to present plans
made by the Union of Orthodox
Congregations of America, ap-
peals for War Bonds pledges will
be made before Yiskor on Shimini
Atzereth in all Shuls throughout
the country.
Call our office for more infor-
mation to help you plan a suc-
cessful campaign to aid our gov-
ernment and our sons in the bat-
tlefield.
With greetings for a happy
new year and victory for the cause
of freedom, we are
Sincerely yours,
MICHIGAN SYNAGOGE
CONFERENCE,
MORRIS MOHR,
President,
RABBI JOSHUA SPERKA
Secretary.
The above appeal was sent to
all rabbis and officers of Detroit
and Michigan congregations.
