here. He was a founder of the
Detroit Philosophical Society
which recently celebrated its 41st
anniversary. He was an organizer
of early Zionist groups here and
was vice-president of the national
Zionist movement Sons of Zion.
For years Dr. Aronstam advo-
cated pre-marriage examinations
and worked for the adoption of
the idea. It was made a law in
1938 in Michigan and has been
adopted in many other states.
Dr. Aronstam was married to
Sarah D. Blumberg in 1899. They
