Emigration Possibilities

BELGRADE. — (WNS) — A
delegation of Rumanian Jews
will visit the United States short-
ly to explore the possibilities of
Jewish emigration to South
American countries and to report
conditions in Rumania, it was
to American Jews on present-day
reliably reported here.
Of the approximately 400,000
Jews still in Rumania, it was
said, 2500,000 are badly in need
of aid. Jewish communities have
opened free soup kithens in 30
Rumanian cities in a desperate
attempt to ward off starvation.
Deprived of their jobs, ousted
from the professions and driven
from their farms, Rumania's
Jews have been reduced to a
state of beggary.
