Celebrate Passover at
Kraemer's Olympia

Kraemer's Olympia Hotel in
Mt. Clemens will again observe
Passover in its full ceremonial

Mr. and Mrs. Morris Sklare
announce the marriage of their
daughter, Sally, to Henry Bront-
man of Toronto, Ontario.
The marriage ceremony was
performed by Rabbi Morris Adler
at the Shaarey Zedek on Sunday,
March 16. The bride was attend-
ed by her sister Miss Shirley
Sklare as maid of honor, Brides-
maids were Misses Betty Jane
Loeb, Marion Rabin, Marion Har-
ris and Evelyn Hochberg. Mr.
Brontman was attended by David
Blackman of Toronto as best
man, and the ushers were Sid-
ney Blackman, Sander Hillman,
Jack Gardner and Jack Galiebter.
On this occasion, the parents
of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Sklare
celebrated their 25th wedding an-
niversary and their attendants
were Mr. Gold and Mrs. Herman
Salter.
Mr. and Mrs. Brontman will
reside in Detroit on their return
from their honeymoon.

Representative Center basket-
ball teams from six cities will
compete in a tournament at the
Detroit Jewish Community Center
this week-end. The competition
is sponsored by the mid-west re-
gion of the Jewish Welfare Board.
Teams from Akron, Toledo, Cleve-
land, Youngstown and Cincinnati,
as well as the Jewish Center
Varsity team of Detroit are en-
tered. Games will be played
Saturday afternoon and Sunday
night.
The tournament champion will
receive the Irving W. Blumberg
Trophy, while the runner-up will
receive the Griswold Sporting
Goods Trophy. The winning team
will he eligible to compete for
the championship of the entire
mid-west region on the following
week-end, meeting the champion
of a similar tournament being
conducted at the Y.M.H.A.-Y.W.-
H.A. of St. Louis.
The draw of games is as fol-
lows:
Saturday. March 22: 8 p. m.,
Toledo Jewish Federation vs.
Akron Jewish Center ; 9 p. m.,
Jewish Recreation Council of
Cleveland vs. Detroit Jewish Com-
munity Center Varsity.
Sunday, March 23: 2:30 p. m.,
Jewish Center of Cincinnati vs.
winner of Akron-Toledo game;
3:30 p. m., Jewish Center of
Youngstown vs. winner of Cleve-
land-Detroit game; 7:30 p. m.,
Consolation game by losers of
afternoon games; 8:30 p. m.,
championship game by winners of
afternoon games.

Planning Annual Dance
Mrs. William Sucher, chairman
of the Youth Education League
yearbook, entertained her com-
mittee with a luncheon and round
table discussions at Boesky's on
March 10. Committee members

S. Schuster, P. Lewiston, M. Fink

at Surprise Luncheon
A surprise luncheon honoring
Mrs. James Sobel was given by
the Sisterhood of Congregation
Bnai Moshe March 17, in the ban-
quet hall of the synagogue.
Mrs. Sobel is a past president
and has held every office in the
Sisterhood.

Temple Club Presents Its
Play at Fort Custer
The Young People's Club of
Temple Beth El presented "Ah
Choo" or "Caught in the Draft,"
musical comedy written by Rob-
ert Mazer, with original music
by Gertrude Jean Leve and Rob-
ert Mazer, at Fort Custer, March
16, for the 2nd Infantry. The
presentation was so well received
by a capacity audience that invi-
tations were extended to the cast
for repeat performances.

Gertrude Leve is one of the
featured players in "Hold That
Pose," the annual musical com-
edy givien by the Detroit Jewish
Community Center. It is an en-
tirely original production under
the direction of Seymour Simons
and Julian Zemon and will be
held the nights of April 20 and
21, at the Jewish Community
Center. Miss Leve portrays the
part of a night club entertainer.
Other members of the cast in-
clude Delphine Finn, Rita Rosen-
blatt, Marion Winkelman, Hyman
Paransky, Seymour Edell and
others. The dancing is under the
direction of Clare Kaufman.

eran and Jewish circles in De-
troit. He served overseas with
the 28th Division during the
World War and is an active mem-
ber of Roosevelt Post No. 218 of
the American Legion. He was
formerly an employee of the
Michigan State Liquor Control
Commission. He is a director of
the Jewish Free Burial Associa-
tion and is vice president of the
Unity Voters League.
