The competition is sponsored by the mid-west re- gion of the Jewish Welfare Board. Teams from Akron, Toledo, Cleve- land, Youngstown and Cincinnati, as well as the Jewish Center Varsity team of Detroit are en- tered. Games will be played Saturday afternoon and Sunday night. The tournament champion will receive the Irving W. Blumberg Trophy, while the runner-up will receive the Griswold Sporting Goods Trophy. The winning team will he eligible to compete for the championship of the entire mid-west region on the following week-end, meeting the champion of a similar tournament being conducted at the Y.M.H.A.-Y.W.- H.A. of St. Louis.
