Bernard Isaacs Will Edit the Friedland
Memorial Volume to Be Sponsored by
The National Jewish Education Council

At the conference of the Na-
tional Council for Jewish Edu-
cation, which was held two weeks
ago in Pittsburgh, the members
of the Council decided to pub-
lish one of the late A. H. F•ied-
land's Hebrew stories as a memo-
rial in his name. Mr. Friedland,
who was one of the outstanding
characters in this country, and
who occupied a place of great
prominence in the National Coun-
cil for Jewish Education, will thus
be honored by his colleagues,
the members of the Council.
Dr. Emanuel Gamoran is the
chairman of the committee ap-
pointed by the National Coun-
cil to honor the memory of
Friedland.

Mr. Isaacs on the preparation of
the book.
