In the rebuilding of Palestine the accent is on youth. The
new-old land has come to be known as the children's paradise, since
the new generation is growing up in a modern environment sur-
rounded by the most advanced educational and health facilities.
The sunshine baby cots in the colony of Naaneh are characteristic
of the modern equipment for children in Palestine. Education and
health work in Palestine is maintained largely through. the aid of
the Palestine Foundation Fund which is combined with the Jewish
National Fund in the United Palestine Appeal for 1938 in a nation-
wide campaign for $4,500,000 for the settlement in Palestine of a
maximum number of Jews from Poland, Germany and other lands.

THE COUNCIL OF ORTHODOX RABBIS at the

and need of European and Palestinian Jewry de-
pends to a considerable extent upon the success of
these appeals.
