CHANUKAH PARTY
Announce Opening of Third
School; Plan Bazaar
In February.
On Sunday, Dec. 25, there will he
a children's Chanukah concert at
the Children's Theater of the Um-
partayishe Folkshul. For weeks
the children have been preparing
for this event. The story of Chanu-
kah has been taught them, its his-
torical significance, the legends and
traditions that have been created
about it; they read all the Jewish
literature in which the holiday is
described.
After that the children planned a
Chanukah play, and with the help
of their teachers composed a fan-
tasy, in which the story is told in
song and dances, such as the "Dra-
idl Dance," the "Chanukah Gelt
Dance," the "Latices Dance," and
the dance of the Chanukah Licht-
Inch.
The performance will begin at
2:30 in the afternoon, at the Chil-
dren's Theater, 539 Kenilworth.

One of the prettiest weddings
of the season was solemnized on
Sunday at 5 o'clock at the Ilebrew
Congregation of Delray, when
Miss Matvina Eichner, niece of
Mr. and Mrs. Sigmund Ihiohl, be-
came the bride of Alex Freed.
Miss Eichner was charming in her
white satin gown of period style.
Her cap-shaped veil was adorned
with rhinestones and orange blos-
soms. Her bouquet was of bride's
roses and lilies. Miss Lillian Eich-
ner, as maid of honor, chose to
wear green taffeta and tulle. She
carried Coolidge roses.
The bridesmaids, Miss Ruth
Wohl, Miss Irma Rosman and Mist
Lillian Siegel, wore green, yellow
and peach taffeta, respectively.
Each carried Coolidge roses.
Theodore Eichner performed
the duties of best man.
The flower girls, Sylvia Cohen
and Irene Siegel, were pretty in
their pink georgette frocks.
The ushers were Sigmund Ros-
man, Harry Bookstein and Sig-
mund Jaulus.
A dinner for 100 guests fol-
lowed the ceremony, after which

The Hotel Statler was the scene
of the marriage of Miss Rosalind
Klein, (laughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Bert Klein, and Abraham Buchs-
baum, son of Mrs. Cora Buchs-
baum of Cincinnati, Ohio, which
took place on Thursday, Dec. 22,
at 5 o'clock, in the presence of the
immediate families. Rabbi Leo M.
Franklin read the service.
The bride's gown was a beauti-
ful model of biege crepe romaine
trimmed in Venetian lace, with hat
and shoes to correspond. She car-
ried white orchids.
Miss Eugenia Klein, as maid of
honor, was attractive in her gown
of ashes of roses chiffon. She
wore a black satin hat and car-
ried butterfly roses. Mrs. Klein,

colored crepe romaine and carried
