pleased utterance that Mr. Cashwan
was a young man who should go far
in the field of art. They further
showed their pleasure in his creations
by the kind of manifestation which
the world of art confers upon its fol-
lowers of more than passing merit,
and Mr. Cashwan can be listed as
having received such distinctions as:

Art of New York; a purchase of his
marble statue, "Shelter," by the Stat.?

award of the Scarab gold medal for
a group of five sculptures in 1924;
the award of the Florence Ilelbig

Recently Mr. Cashwan returned to
Detroit, his home, from a few months'
visit to Paris, where he studied art
conditions and tendencies.

the founders of the Arts Club and its
first president, will give a lecture un-
