THE FIFTH ANNUAL REGATTA
Regatta day is with us again.
Men interested in water sports have
:-in opportunity to prove their worth.
Men interested in athletic competition
have an opportunity to watch keen
rivalry.
The regatta committee has 'worked
unceasingly to make the affair a suc-
cess. Coming as it does at the end of
a spring when athletics have been
practically at a stand still, it affords a
chance for all to 'take part in what
should be one of the most attractive
events Qf the month. of June.
The success of today is really a test.
Argument has been heard for and
against water sports At Michigan. If
you believe 'in them, prove your in-
terest by appearing on the banks, or
better still, as a contestant.
JUSTIFIED STEALING
When you feel your familiar world
donning a cloak of murky hue, and
you begin to doubt the motives of
yourself and your friends, what do you
do?

"Get Up to the Net"
It's not easy. Not after the first couple of sets
arlyway. Past this point, getting up to the net
becomes down right hard work, requiring every
ounce of strength and stamina in your body. And
some timnes when this fails you just can't get up to
the net and are forced into a defensive game.
lheat
acan't get people up to the net. It is not a miracle worker,
but it can and has done its part in putting players in con-
dition to see the game through, which is the most important
consideration after all. Shredded Wheat is 4i muscle-
building , delicious, all-day food made from the whole wheat
berry. ;t contains the maximum of food value and the
minimum of waste. It is extremely. easy to digest and
nutritious to a high degree. It is a good, satisfying cereal
food, which is about all that one should demand.,

Just sit down and let the blackness
spend itself? If so, you waste time
and energy.
Begin the moment you feel the cling-
ing fingers of dejection touching you,
to shake them, off. There is one sure
cure:
Steal!
Steal the attitude of someone else.
The world as a whole is an. object that
one sees through the lenses of his own
view point. If you are despondent.
your own lenses are blurred. Then
look at existence from some other
angle.
No one will object to your purloin-
ing their attitude. Forget your own
narrow, congested field for the once
and enter into the life of another.
If you can't find someone you know
to divert you, get a book.
-Stealing to alter the course of your
thoughts toward despondency may be
in some degree a theft, but it is en-
tirely justifiable.
When we know how little we know,
we know quite a little.
It's all right to be a little skeptical
--but be more so of yourself than of
others.
Five more days of school before
exams.
A big vocabulary is a good thing, but
there's no use using it all at once..
