Feminine Interest Now Centers
in the Event of the Season
The 1924 J-Hop!
The 1924 J-Hop will quite out-shine all other social events of the season;
Feminine interest from now on, until that eventful eve, will center in who s
going and what they are going to wear! Each popular maid who is bid for
the Hop will immediately set out to find a costume that will be worthy the
affair.
Her Gown for the Hop
Must Be a Brilliant Affair !
Evening gowns in colors dainty enough to be worthy a place in a beautiful
flower garden have been selected for the Hop display. Crisp taffetas fashioned
in bouffount style, adorned with silver or gold lace, clinging georgette gowns
that sparkle with rhinestones, and the very stylish metal cloth frocks are ready
for those who will dance at the Hop!
Flower Ornaments
Adorn Her Frock!
Many a gown owes its success
to the trimming and so it is with
an evening gown. A corsage
of harmonizing colored flowers,
a silver flower, or a cluster of
buds will add immensely to the
effect of the frock.
A Feather Fan
She'll Coyly Hold
A feather fan is an indispensible
part of the successful J-Hop
costume. Whether a coque or
an ostrich fan is chosen it little
matters, so long as the maid re-
members to provide this neces-
sary accessory!
"She Wore a Wreath of
Roses"
But that day was long ago and
roses now are out of date. At
the J-l1sp, if she keeps abreast
of fashion, she will wear a cir-
clet of silver flowers or a band
of flower ceusters.
Her Slippers Will Be
Brocade
She will dance merrily at the
Hop in silver brocade pumps.
She may choose the ones with
Louis heels or the ones with
block heels and a fancy cut-out
at the side.
A Dainty 'Kerchief She'll
Pin to Her Shoulder
Shell pin a fancy 'kerchief to
her right shoulder in true French
fashion and be among the first
to follow Madame Renee's fad.
Fine Hose
She'll Wear
Her hos will be of the finest,
silver or a.d to match her gown
or perhap black chiffon or
black silk wits Paris clocks.
Wide Ribbon for
Frock or Hair
Wide metal ribbons are used for
tine ultra-nmodishhair bands as
well as for the bodice of gowns.
Narrow ribbons for straps are
found here, too.
Silver Tissue May
Be Needed
Silver tissue in delicate shades
are used for the foundation of
lovely evening gowns, 36-inch
wide silver and gold laces, nar-
row lace and banding to match
help in making the gown.
Long Cloves
She'll Need
Of course she must have a pair
of long kid gloves to wear to the
Hop. Probably white, but may-
be black if her gown is of a
dark hue.
Sparkling Combs
Will be at the Hop
Fancy combs that sparkle and
glisten with bright stones will
be quite the vogue at the 1924
Hop.
Spanish Lace Scarves
Are Vogue
A Spanish lace scarf in an ap-
propriate color may be worn
about the shoulders as a part
of the Hop costume.
