DANCE
As The Photographer Sees It
Robert Kiley is a painter who has discovered that
the field of photography is also one of the fine arts. Kiley
graduated from Michigan's art school, but is back get-
ting a master's degree so that he can teach - "the best
way for a painter to make a living." He has had several
painting shows in New York and has a gallery there.
As for as photography goes, Kiley has always been
interested in it, but has only been actively working with
the medium for the last six months. The pictures on this
page were taken in semi-darkness -- "I could hardly see
to focus the camera," the photographer commented. How-
ever, forced developing and patience resulted in some
striking examples of photography. His camera is a Hassel-
blad.
