Detroit Sets
Sale, Display
Of Antiques
It is hard to picture a hi-fi set
concealed in an old pine "primi-
tive" chest, or ivy sprouting from
a wooden wall telephone, but these
and many other unusual items are
featured at the Great Lakes An-
tique Show.
One item, not often seen, is a
goat-whisker, yes, a goat-whisker
rug. Also on view in the antique
dealers' exhibit are modern look-
ing antique jewelry and early
American furniture.
For those interested in viewing
purely decorative antiques, there
will be special displays of glass-
ware including American blown
glass, Victorian era patterned
glassware and rare pieces of cut
glass.
The exhibition will also include
china from all parts of the world,
unusual jewelry of all types, and
the traditional "country store"
items seen at all antique shows.
The show will be open from 12
noon to 10:30 p.m. April 21-14
in the Detroit Masonic Temple.
