SPANISH FIESTA:
Exhibition To Feature
Two Shrunken Heads

Camp Pinecliff for girls in Harrison,
Maine, has an opening for a drama
counselor. The applicant should be a
young woman, with some experience,
able to select and produce one act
plays.
There are several thousand firms all
over the country listed with the Sum-
mer Placement Service. Spring vaca-
tion is a good time to make contacts
with these people. If you have not yet
lined up your summer job, make it a
point to attend the meeting on April
3rd.

The Cherry County Playhouse in Tra-
verse City, Michigan, has an opening
for a Box Office Treasurer for the sum-
mer months. An applicant who has had
some previous experience as a cashier
or in handling money, is sought.
A dietitian is needed by a summer
camp for diabetic children in Ohio. A
graduate who has not yet had her in-
ternship will be accepted.
The Hartford, Conn., Girl Scouts have
openings for a Dietician-Cook and as-
sistant cooks for two overnight camps.
Girls going into their senior year, as
well as recent graduates will be con-
sidered.

History, Political Science, Internation-
al Relations, Economics, Foreign Lan-
guages, Business Administration and
Public Administration for Foreign
Service Officers. To be eligible to take
the examination, candidates must be
at least 20 years of age and under 31,
as of May 1, 1957, and must also be an
American citizen of at least 9 years
standing. Although a candidate's spouse
need not be a citizen on the date of
the examination, citizenship must have
been obtained prior to the date of the
officer's appointment. The closing date
for filing the application is May 1,
1957, The semi-annual Foreign Service
Officer Examination will be given on
June 24, 1957. Applications are avail-
able at the Bureau of Appointments.
Additional information can be ob-
tained from the Bureau by coming into
the office or calling Extension 3371 at
the University. Material is also avail-
able on many of the companies inter-
viewing during the week of April 1, 1957.

HEADS UP-Two Peruvian shrunken heads will grimace at visitors
to the Hispanis arts and crafts exhibit. The heads have become
scarce since the Peruvian government has cracked down on head-
hunting.

the size of oranges will be featured
tomorrow at the arts and crafts
exhibit of the seventh annual His-
panic Fiesta.
The heads, borrowed by the
Spanish department from the Uni-
versity Museum of Anthropology,
originally came from Jivaros, an
Indian tribe in the Peruvian high-
lands.
Also on display will be Latin
American jewelry, ceramics and
textiles and photographs of Vene-
zuela. Paintings done in Spain and
Mexico by Albert Weber, instruc-
tor, and Leonard Zamiska, assist-
ant professor in the architecture
school will be shown.
The entire display will be in the
Oriental Gallery of Alumni Me-
morial Hall tomorrow through Fri-
day from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Approximately 600 high school
students from southern Michigan
will be in Ann Arbor tomorrow for
the Fiesta.
"La Barca Sin Pescador" (The
Boat Without a Fisherman), a play
by Alejandro Casona, will be pre-
sented tomorrow at 3:15 p.m. and
8 p.m. in the Lydia Mendelssohn
theatre.
