Are you interested in, a figure
for fashions? Would you enjoy be-
ing able to wear a sheath dress
or knit suit? Are your feet "killing
you" after that daily trek from
campus to dorm?
Ruth W. Harris of the Women'sj
Physical Education Department
tries to provide a solution. Clinics
under her direction are available
to coeds. Those interested may
phone Barbour Gymnasium and
make an appointment. Single or
small groups are accepted.
During consultation periods,
problems are discussed and women
go through exercises for each case.
Slumping shoulders, drooping
head, and incorrect posture as well

scription, at $5.00, to a series

as excess poundage can be im-
proved through these exercises.
'Such consultations, Miss Harris j
remarked, will be helpful not only
throughout a coed's college career
but also in later life. She said that
as people grow older, they tend
to develop a middle age "bulge".
This can be avoided by properly
conditioning the body muscles now.
"This is a do-it-yourself opera-7
tion," Miss Harris remarked. "All
the discussion in the world will
do no good unless exercises are
done faithfully."
She added that exercises aid
body control and grace as well as
strengthen flabby muscles.
Until mid-November, when the
indoor physical education classes
start, appointments may be made
for- Monday, Wednesday, and Fri-
day mornings, early Monday and
Wednesday afternoons, and late
Tuesday afternoon.
Return check-ups to determine
progress and, if necessary, to as-
sign different exercises will be
scheduled as long as the coeds
desire.
