"The Malipiero's told me that I
could get a bus from Padua to
take me to their home in Asolo, 14
miles away. It was in March or
April, and I found out that busses
didn't start runnmng until June.
"So I hired a taxi and I don't
think we went over one road. The
driver went through fields and al-
leys and when we finally got to
Asolo I was so relieved I gave him
a huge tip."
She met Vaughan Williams when
he lectured here last fall.

Even though Prof. Cuyler has
such a time-consuming position on
the faculty, she manages to keep
playing. "While I was in Bel-
gium, I had fiddle lessons during
the week."
"Here in town, I get in some vi-
olin and piano sonatas every Sun-
day morning with Prof. Maude
Okkelberg who recently retired
from the music faculty."
"As for the future, I always let
the future shape itself and not
worry about it. There's so much
ahead that I want to do."
