Turn about is fair play--thus we find that many of twooo
night's'parties, having tried the ingenuity of the brand new act ives, ;irec
being given in honor of the lder, timhe-tested brothers.
One of the bigger affairs, hiowever, will find Theta Xi actives;.sill
honoring their pledges at a formal dlance. In fact they've gone "sy
high" on preparations. Yes, sky high-their theme is wound around the
inter-stellar world.
Couples must pass through a rocket ship to enter the daneroo !0m.
Within, they'll find one wall sparkling with constellations; three dli-
mensional paper mache planets hanging from the ceiling; anrd i fr one
corner a huge celestial lake, volcanic in structure, upon wich garI-
denias will be afloat. Del Elliott's orchestra will carry clancer, -rieh
out of this world."
TOMORROW NIGHT will find the men of Sigma Chi navignl:ing
their way cdown the Mississippi on their river boat "Sweet heart." On
hoard, a casino gambling, party will be in full tilt. Each gentleMail card
shark and each river belle will be allowed fifty gold pieces at the he-$
ginning of the evening.
In their leisure time, couples may wend their way to the after-
deck of the good ship "Sweetheart" where they may dance to the
music of Dorsey, Goodman or Spivak!
If any should wonder how the SAE's would pay their respects to
Patty Murphy, they might drop around to the house tomorrow night
when funeral services will be held for Mr. Murphy. The services will
be performed as a skit by a group of the men.
McNAMARA'S BANDl will be on hand to accompany the barber
shop quartette in a few respectful numbers. A piece of the original
blarney stone will be placed reverently by the coffin.
Fiji actives (brand new) entertain Fiji active% (tried and true)
at their informal B.A. Ball. Only the originators and Intuitive
friends realize of what this will consist, but these twelve "idea
men" have pooled their thoughts and coma up with something
terrif ic.
Winchell House will don av bit o' green tomorrow night and cele-
brate with dancing, good old fashioned games and prizes. St, Patrick
may well be presented in spirit at such happy doings.
THlE GENTLEMAN REPLIED, "The Sig Eps will have their week-
ly meeting of the swamp water and spudnut society tomorrow night.
It will be a television-record dance; coffee and spudnuts will be served
at 11 p.m."
Fletcher Hall's Alligator Amble will transport couples to the
jungles of far off Africa. Palm trees, monkeys, coconuts-even
punch on the half shell (coconut that Is) will aid in producing the
desired affect. The Victor Vaughan Trio will provide half-time.
entertainment.
The "3 Cent Stomp," an original with Pi Lambda Phi wills give
things a lick and a promise from 9 p.m. to midnight tomorrow. The
house will take on the appearance of a post office. The men issue the
hope that it will carry some people's minds far from the realm of mid-
semnesters.
TOMORROW XiTERNOON the men from Greene House are hav-
ing an invitational open-house. All the rooms will be open for inspec-
tion (of a friendly nature) and each man will be his own host, plovid-
ing entertainment and refreshments for his guest.
Adams House plans to take advantage of the good hay riding
weather tomorrow evening. Around .10:30 p.m. the wagons will 'retiurn
20 couples to the Adams' recreation room where hot chocolate and
cookies will be served before dancing begins.
