THIS IS HOW AMERICA'S
MOTHERS ARE HELPING:
1. IN INDUSTRY
Mothers take jobs in war plants, stores, and
offices all over America, to help maintain high
war production and essential civilian needs.
2. IN WAR ACTIVITIES
Mothers give valuable aid to the Red Cross
and the OCD, the USO and the National War
Fund. They go all out buying WAR BONDS.
3. IN THE HOME:
Mothers cope with wartime shortages, save
cooking fats, wastepaper, tin cans. They keep
their families in health and higher hopes of
democracy.
4. BY INSPIRATION:
Mothers symbolize the hones we fight for. By
their love and their letters mothers inspire
their sons and huisbands at the fighting front.
Their work, at home inspires everyone.

HE GALLANT MOTHERS of America ... every generation of them ...
aren't a bit warlike by nature. They're the same gentle, understanding

women that sent you off to school

that first day

that bandaged your

mock hurts.. . heard your young prayers ... and were so proud of your school
diplomas. Now, in addition, they take their place in every kind of war work

and patriotic drive.

They work with fighting spirit to bring their sons and

husbands in the service home soon.

They fight to end regimes where little

Chinese children are beaten and tortured . . . where little Greek children cry
in the streets for food . . . where small Austrians learn the catechism of the
Nazis.. . the catechism of hate. They fight to keep a way of life reflecting

the love and security of democracy and peace.

Show them how much you

appreciate the job they do by remembering them with special care this

Mother's Day. We arei
handsome, perfect gifts

ready with help
for a tribute

)ful suggestions . . . with practical,
of your love and admiration for your

Mother this 1944.
