Charlotte Poock, Enora Ferris (so where was her roommate, we are asking?)
Cletus Hall and M. A. MacKenzie. Sounds like a Delta0
Gamma quorum from where we sit.
The W.A.A. is at their sad and patient task again.
Mister, please buy a ticket to the Swimming Gala and \
put us through a swimming pool? But the program to-
morrow p.m. is supposed to be very good, with divers and \\
swimmers flexing their sturdy muscles. -
Lady Cagers Battle It Out...
The lady cagers are at it again, having basketball-
games among their plump little selves every night. Nothing -y
personal. Theta defeated a valiant Betsy Barbour team
with a thrilling 13-6 victory in a breath-taking
last-minute rally in the fourth period last night.
Sybil Swartout, she of the Judish Council robes
and draperies, Poodie Pomeroy, she of the new combina-
tion victrola-radio raffle prize, Mary McClure and Jane,
Grove played on the winning team.
At 5:30 p.m. sharp on the nose, a feeble, hard-breath-
ing, ragged, unseasoned Gamma Phi Beta team barelr
managed to eke out a 14-6 margin over Zone II. For
Gamma Phi were Jane Lord, Harriet Dean, Mary Hender-
son, June Roberts, Bobby Chissus, Mim Finkleday (ever
seen her goonie roommate? Whew!) and Barbara Griffin. 7/
Brooks Sweaters And High-.Water Pants...
The Ruthven Tea yesterday lured the usual crowd of Brooks sweaters
and high-water pants over to the President's house for a spot or two. Lib
Uegge was there, Charlene Pike, Annabell "Starfish" Van Winkel, Bit
O'Roke, Ann Vedder, Pedo Ortmayer and Jane Connell were seen (stupid
expression..) Bud Emmons, Clayton Engert, Dodie Nichols, Bob MacDonald,
Helen Rigerink, Lee Hardy, Loyall Watson, Ralph Beaker, Tom Snyder,
Bob Arata, Bob Young and Joan Harris.
Everybody looked pretty, tea was served
and Pres. and Mrs. A. G. Ruthven received. Want
X . w to make somehing of it? Marian Smith (she
looks just like Anne Shirley of the moom-pitch-
ers!) and Florence Brotherton, the smoothie,
were milling around. Which ought to take care
of that situation.
Guess what kids, did you hear? Santy Claws'
is going to 'pass out presents at the tea dance
today. Think I'm kidding.. don'tcha? '1
Harry Reese is taking a vacation this week
in hopes of avoiding a nervous collapse, and
little Neil McKay is resting up from the race
he ran through three feet of snow in Fairy Field
a short time ago. He loped 220 yards for an easy win over an unidentified
gentleman, wearing a short haircut and a smile on his puss, in 45.3 flat.

man of the decorations committee.

silk "marquisette shot with silver7
threads simply made with rhinestone
clips at the neckline.
Elizabeth Hegge, '41, will attend
with William Briggs, '41, chairman of
the floor -committee. She will wear
a simple dress of changeable rose and
green taffeta with a V front and back,
relieved only by a rhinestone clip and
full skirt. Belle Calkins, '41, will be
the guest of Seagert. She will wear
strapless wine net with embroidered
bodice and full ruffled skirt.
Will Hold Grand March
A grand march will be a feature
of the evening's entertainment, Crane
announced. Two-thirty permission
is being granted women students, he
added.
