Two Peace Rallies
To Mark Armistice

Two peace meetings will be held on
campus at 4 p.m. Friday, Armistice
Day, it was announced yesterday. The
Michigan Anti-War Committee will
hold a rally in the Natural Science
auditorium, and the United Peace
Committee of America, sponsored
locally by the American Student
Union and several other organiza-
tions interested in peace, will hold a
meeting in the League ballroom.
Dr. Fred Poole, Superintendent of
Religious Education of the Methodist
Church of Michigan, and Francis
A. Hensen, administrative secretary
of the UAW, will be principal speakers
at the Anti-War Committee meeting.
Resolutions will be submitted at this
meeting concerning economic secur-
ity, disarmament, demilitarization of
foreign territory, abandonment of in-
dustrial mobilization plans, a war
referendum amendment and suspen-
sion of military alliances,
The public is invited to attend.
Druids To Meet
Druids, senior literary honorary so-
ciety, will hold an important meet-
ing at 7:30 p.m. today in the Union.
11 members are asked to attend.
