Faculty Man Discuss"s Trip
To NZational Capitol And
Committee IVestigatloQ1

ies publicized by opponents of the
Administration."
Watching the stream of witnesses
pass before the committee one sees
a cross-section of American business
life such as is hardly duplicated else-
where, Professor Brown said. On
the one hand is a small southern
manufacturer at whose factory chapel
service is held every morning and
where employer and employee are in-
timately acquainted; on the other, is
the representative of some of the
largest industrial plants in the coun-
try, employing thousands of men. All
are heard respectfully by the Com-
mittee.
To illustrate the unconscious bit of
humor that occasionally breaks the
seriousness of the proceedings, Pro-
fessor Brown told the story of a
bright-eyed little Italian testifying
for the New York ice peddlers. He
was asked to summarize his state-
ment.
"You can elaborate the facts in
your printed brief," said Senator Har-
rison.
I am not going to elaborate," said
the Italian peddler with great earnest-
ness, "I'm just going to tell the truth."
After the ensuing roar of laugh-
ter had died down, Senator Harrison
solemnly advised the witness always
to tell the truth and never to "elab-
orate."

Pins, buttons, bottles and match
boxes will join with the conventional
exhibits of stamps and butterflies at
the Pet and Hobby Show, for local
school children to be held April 26
at Yost Field House according to Wil-
liam G. Robinson, chairman of the
show.
"The man in charge of classifica-
tion for collections," stated Mr. Rob-
inson, "gave up after the first 19
items and just wrote 'other collec-
tions.' Match folders from 162 hotels
will be side by side with antiquities,
the usual collections of stamps and
all the other items admitted. Unus-
ual arrangements and material will
form the main criterions for judg-
