All-University Meet Occupies
Attention of Varsity
Wrestlers.
Although the Varsity wrestlers
will swing into action against Ypsi-
lanti State Normal College next,
Tuesday, Dec. 9, the big thing oa-
cupying the mind of coach Cliff
Keen is the All-University meet'
which will be held Dec. 16, 17, and
18.
This meet is expected to draw
over 100 entries from all schools on
the campus including the 64 mem-
bers of the Varsity squad. The on-
ly members of the Varsity who will
not compete are the letter winners
from last year, of which there are
only five. Silver loving cubs will
be presented to the winners in all(
weight divisions,.
Coach Keen is rapidly rounding'
his squad into shape, and with the
addition of seven men from the
football squad including A u e r,
Benz, and LaJeunesse feels that he
has a very good nucleus on which
to build.
Captain Auer has been mention-
ed as one of the possible partici-,
pants in a charity football game at
Flint next Sunday which would
render him ineligible for further
conference competition this season
due to a conference rule forbidding
post-season games. This would be
a severe loss to Keen, so it is doubt-
ful if Auer would sacrifice the cap-
taincy for the sake of the game.

IOWA CAGE SQUAD
L A C K S VETERANS
(Specilt Tei ly )
IOWA CITY, Dec. 3.-Youth will
have its fling at the basketball
goals this winter at the University
of Iowa. For the Hawkeyes, enter- {
ing Western conference basketball
competition after a year's inter-*
lude, seem almost certain to put
forward a team of four sophomores
and a junior.
The traditional coach's attitude
of dour pessimism, however, has
not been assumed by Coach Rollie
F. Williams, who is beginning his
second year as head mentor here.
Ten of his fifteen outstanding play-
ers may be strangers to intercol-
legiate competition, b u t, almost
their sole sin is inexperience; to
counterbalance that they have in--
telligence," talent and a fiery exu-
berance.
