because of the fact that Coach Yrtank

jThe Northwestern tecam won the

the services of Alvan Martin, great
half miler who finished college com-

Other winners of the two-mile, re-t
flay at the Kansas carnival have been
the University of Nebraska and Ames.
The Iowa State College team, or
Ames, also holds the meet record for
the event through having won in 11,25
in the time of 7 minutes 56.2 seconds.
Coach Bob Simpson of Ames will have
a fast two-mile team again this sea-
son and1 so will Coach Shulte of Ne-

and Marquette University.
