one of

the most interesting in football his-
tory, with Army displaying a remark-
able brand of football to overcome the
Middies' early lead. However, there
were many added thrills to the classic,
chief among them being the perfect
drop kick by Hamilton after Navy's
last touchdown, and the kick missed
by Wilson by inches only from the
25 yard line.
The apparent weakness of the de-
fense of both teams can be accounted
for in part by the desperate chances
taken by both teams. In at least
three occasions when only a yard was
needed on fourth down, and the ball
in midfield, the chance was taken and
the attempt successful each time.
Each team was working at its best
in an attempt to advance over the oth-
er, and forward passes were often re-
sorted to by the Navy team on first
down, while trick formations were as
common as regular plays. Navy was.
successful in its quick kick trick and
the ball was sent over the heads of
the Army backs on an unexpected
punt (in first down in the third quarter.
LAFAYETTE BACKFIELD
STARS LEAD SCOES
To "Mike" Wilson, sophomore back-
field star of Lafayette's unbeaten and
untiedl eleven, goes the high scoring
title of -the East. His .20 touchdowns
for a total of 120 points represent
more than one third of the points his
team scored in its triumphant march
over nine opponents and set up a new
recorldor high scoring in the East,
surpassing Eddie Tryon's record per-
formance of last year when the bril-
liant Colgate back ran, up 103 points.
:M "Milie" fairiy distanced his nearest
rivals, "Light Horse" H-arry W,,1son,
of the Army, and AWiliams, Connecti-
cut Aggie fiash, who finished with
totals of 95 andl 90 respectively.
"Light Horse" H-arry Wilson was
' able to pass the Aggie star by scoring
nine points in the 21-21 deadliockc be-
tween Army andl Navy last Saturday
Onl Solders' field after Williams' sea-
son had closed. The Army back was
also1 aided iby 23 goals after touch-
down, while Williams, like "Mike"
madle all of his points on touchdowns.
Lane of Dartmouth had a goodl sea-
son1 althioug~h his team had a rather
disastrous year of it. He finished
fourth in the list with S1 points, in-
cluiling 13 touchdowns. Weston of
Boston College, Shaughnessy of Col-
gate, and Strong, of New York uni1-
versity w4ho finished next in order
were all great powers in their teams'
attack and contributed to tihe high
p~lace these elevens held this season.
Brown university's strong team fail-
ed to place one of its players in the
ftrst flight, Mishel finishing eighteenth
in the totals with an even 50 points.
Mishel -=as one of the b~est backs in
the East and was the main cog inl
the Providence team's offense. His
M assing andl running were high spots
in the Bruins' success.
The first 12 scorers in the East are

Wold's welterweight champion who
will risk his title in a bout with Joe
Simonich Dec. 8 in Newark, N. J. Pete
Latzo isu one of the new kings of fist-
iana having won the crown fronm Mick-
ey Walker recently.
This will he Latzo's first appearance
in defense of his title and is looked on
with interest for several reasons. One
of these is that he has been kept idle.
by an injured hand which threatened
to bar him from all future bouts. The
coming fight will be a test as to the
strength of the injured menmber. An-
other reason for interest is to see if
Latzo is to be one of the transient
kings of the gloves and follow the gen-
eral trend of the past year or so to
speedily dlethrone champions.
P1 BTADEIA WINS
By winning from Sigma Alpha Mu
last night Phi Beta Delta earned the
right to meet the Kappa Mu team in
the finals. Delta Upsilon was elimin-
ated from the race by Kappa Nu. Tile
finals will be played later in tile week.
Cincinnati Reds, in 18S69,' went
through the season without a defeat,
winning 81 games.
Ohio Wesleyan has refused a post
season game with Hawaii.
