tice A. E. Gibson Gordon Winter-
mnutte, arrested in the act of holding
up the occupants of a car parked on
Ferry field May 9, was remanded for
trial in circuit court during the pres-
ent term. lie is being held in the
county jail under the original bail of
$26,000. Wintermutte's name is al-
ready on the police records for ticket
scalping at football games here last
fall.

Acceptance of a position as associ-
ate in political science at Johns Hop-
kins university has caused Dr. James
Bart, of the political science depart-
ment, to withdraw from the faculty,
effective at the end of the present se-
muester. Dr'. Hart will teach this sum-
mer at the University of Virginia, of
which he is an alumnus and where
he has taught during the summer ses-
sion for several years.
